In May 2004 Angi and I headed off to Mooresville, North Carolina for her cousin's wedding. Her family could not make the wedding, as they have a new baby at home, so we were sent to represent her family unit. Our all expenses paid trip included airfare for two, and two nights stay at the Wingate Hotel. This was both Angi's and my first time in North Carolina.
While our trip did not last long, we did get to go on a whirlwind tour of downtown Charlotte, and the Lake Norman area. We were surprised to see how green it was! Here in Colorado, spring is just getting warmed up, but in NC, some of the flowers are already withering. The weather was nice, with occasional rain (including the wedding itself!), but temperatures at night were great, around 60 degrees.
