2003 Photos

These photos were all created with PhotoCDs I got from film I developed. The exception are the spring break photos which were scanned from prints with a flatbed scanner. This year, Angi and I really got to know each other. We went on a weeklong roadtrip, using only my tent for lodging, and toward the end of the year, we got our own apartment!

Spring Break 2003

Angi and I went on a road trip to Texas for spring break 2003. On the way we stopped to climb the highest peak in Texas. We also went to see Balmorhea State Park which has a really neat freshwater spring and some awesome freshwater snorkeling. We camped out the entire trip, which got pretty exciting when we had a big overnight thunderstorm on the beach.

June 2003 Photos

Angi and have spent a lot of time together in the mountains, and we've recently expanded our pursuits to more challenging terrain. Included on this roll of film is Angi's first Fourteener, Mt. Bierstadt, and despite the terrible weather, she said she's willing to do another one!

August 2003 Photos

After a trip to Oregon for another wedding, Angi and I introduced April's friend, Sarah to her first Fourteener, Mt. Bross. Additionally, we climbed Torreys Peak's Kelso Ridge, for our first somewhat technical Fourteener ascent.

More 14ers!

Angi and I wouldn't let the end of the summer fourteener season bring our adventures to an end. We climbed Mt. Massive, and Castle Peak, for which we rented crampons for Angi's first steep snow climbing adventure.

Backpacking, Our Apartment, and Longs Peak

Photos from most of the summer, June to September 2003 taken on a disposable. These include our July, 4th three day backpacking trip to Browns Creek, and Mt. Tabeguache, and Some random around the house photos. Additionally, it has our late season, icy attempt on the Longs Peak Loft Route.

Oct-Dec 2003 Photos

These photos are from October to December 2003. They include our trip to Idaho and Yellowstone, Cyclocross races, Halloween (some great pumpkins), and more of the same old tomfoolery. Of course, there are a few pictures of Angi and I hugging each other.
