What the Heck?

The Question we're asked most around here as got to be "So, How are you going to make money off this thing?". The answer is: We're not. Aside from time, and spare equipment CUnap.com only cost $22.47 to get up, running, and advertised. The primary motivation behind CUnap.com is the owners personal troubles finding the downloads they wanted. Now they have access to all the files they could ever want....And so do you!

What makes CUnap different??

CU runs a special type of packet filter, called a 'packet shaper'. The specific type CU uses is from Packeteer (http://www.packeteer.com). The packeteer slows down certian types of traffic, including Napster, OpenNap, KaZaa, Morpheus, Direct Connect, and more. CUnap is a modified version of OpenNap (http://opennap.sourceforge.net) which uses 128 bit strong SSL Encryption, the same grade used for E-Commerce on the Internet. By encrypting the traffic, the Packeteer cannot tell what type of traffic it is looking at, and does not slow it down.
